The former Wright Venue in Swords underwent a digital and physical transformation as part of the global growth path for Riot Games Esports, that is known as Project Stryker. The offices in Swords, is the first of three remote broadcast centres located around the world creating a “chase-the-sun” broadcast-operations model.
Riot transformed the nightclub into its European Remote Broadcast Centre complete with six insert stages; six production-control rooms; six audio-control rooms; multiple bullpens for observers (in-game camera operators), graphics, replay, and editing; and a number of large collaborative spaces. And the original 1,500lb disco ball, which is Europe’s largest, stayed put!
