Damvent Hybrid AHU

Delivering 100% Fresh Air to

St James’s Hospital

1st ever HTM compliant hybrid hospital specification

Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs) give comprehensive advice and guidance on the design, installation and operation of specialised building and engineering technology (such as a Damvent Hybrid AHU) used in the delivery of healthcare.

The focus of HTM guidance remains on healthcare-specific elements of standards, policies and up-to-date established best practice. They are applicable to new and existing sites, and are for use at various stages during the whole building lifecycle.  We are so proud that our Damvent Hybrid AHU is now the first ever specified hybrid AHU that is HTM compliant and has been delivered to St. James’s Hospital for use in their new Cardiac Cath Lab.

Pre-Install Q&A Session

Prior to shipment from the factory, the Damvent Hybrid Air Handling Unit underwent a comprehensive functional demonstration during a factory witness test. This crucial step ensured that all stakeholders,  could witness the unit in operation and grasp its functionality in real-world scenarios. The demonstration facilitated a Q&A session with the manufacturers, allowing participants to address any potential concerns or queries upfront, thus preemptively mitigating any issues that might arise during installation or operation. This proactive approach fostered a deeper understanding and smoother integration of the unit into the intended environment.

Damvent’s hybrid HVAC fresh air solution is suitable for every application where 100% fresh air is needed, by means of covering all possible air treatment processes. Using integrated heat pump technology for ultimate energy saving control. All units:

  • Reduce your building’s carbon footprint
  • Supply 100% fresh air
  • Have both winter and summer mode calculations

The Most Energy Efficient Model In The Market

The Hybrid AHU system is an energy saving device capturing the energy from the exhaust air and returning to the supply air thus providing the ultimate supply air quantity and temperature required for both summer and winter conditions with 100% fresh air.

Whatever energy is left after going through the heat recovery cassette (HTM requirement), then goes through the heat pump coil where any remaining energy is saved and returned to the supply air.

On Site & On Time

We maintained close collaboration with Damvent in Bulgaria, consulting engineers from Delap and Wallers, and contractors from Hybrid Engineering to guarantee the timely and precise delivery of units to ensure that we could streamline the installation process as much as possible.

Pre-Delivery Factory Testing

One of the main features of the Damvent Hybrid unit is that Damvent have developed their own unique control system which means all systems provided are factory tested for the conditions specified prior to delivery to site.

Bespoke Solutions

Damvent provides tailored solutions for advanced air treatment processes, focusing on maintaining precise temperature and humidity levels. These units with additional modifications, including software enhancements and integrated heat pumps, are ideal for environments like clean rooms, hospitals, and health facilities. For optimal performance, Damvent specialists’ involvement from the initial design phase is recommended to ensure proper system selection and sizing.
