Cherry Orchard
Cherry Orchard
Hospital & Nursing Home
Keane Environmental was proud to support the redevelopment of Cherry Orchard Hospital, which now operates with capacity for 130 residents following the opening of its new Hazel Unit.
Working with Patrick McCaul Consulting Engineers and Mechanical Contractors Quinn Downes, Keane supplied 612 meters of Terrendis pre-insulated sanitary and heating pipe. The piping was installed as part of the hospital’s hot water systems and showers, ensuring efficient, reliable performance for this vital healthcare facility.

Benefits of Terrendis Sanitary Pipe
The Terrendis Sanitary Pipe range is specifically designed for the efficient underground distribution of potable hot and cold water, making it ideal for domestic hot water systems, showers, and sanitation facilities in buildings such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools, hotels, and multi-residential developments.
Each sanitary pipe consists of a flexible, cross-linked polyethylene (PE-Xa) carrier pipe that meets stringent hygiene standards for drinking water. The pipe is surrounded by a highly effective polyurethane (PUR) foam insulation and enclosed in a durable, corrugated HDPE outer jacket. This triple-layered design ensures:
-
Excellent thermal performance with minimal heat loss
-
Long service life, even under continuous high-temperature use
-
Resistance to corrosion, pressure, and environmental stress
-
Quick and easy installation, even around obstacles and over long distances
The flexibility and pre-insulated nature of Terrendis sanitary pipes make them a smart choice for both new-build and retrofit projects, particularly where hygiene, reliability, and energy efficiency are key considerations.
Engineered for performance.
The Terrendis Pipe Range
The Terrendis range of pre-insulated underground pipe is designed for efficient underground distribution of hot and cold water.
Available in single, double and quadruple pipe configurations, the range includes options for heating, cooling, potable water, and sanitary applications.
Hyper-flexible and with low heat loss values, Terrendis pipes are ideal for district heating, healthcare facilities, residential developments, and renewable energy systems such as heat pumps.
