Brexit

News Update

Certainty in an uncertain time.

We have you covered.

Prepared for Change

With so much uncertainty in these unprecedented times one thing we know for certain is that our British partners and suppliers, such as Gilberts and Diffusion are working with us to ensure that deliveries to Ireland are not impacted or delayed due to new Brexit regulations.

We have all heard anecdotal reports of delayed deliveries to and from the UK.  However, rest assured that we have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that this does not impact your business.

Delivering Stability

Our customers are at the end of a long and well-established supply chain from the UK to Ireland that has been seamlessly developed over tariff-free, invisible trading barriers for decades.

Despite the last minute EU- UK trade deal we are now in a position where we simply need an additional 24 – 48 hours to ensure UK & European partners have required customs clearance and warehousing.

This simply means that where delivery from the UK to our customers pre-Brexit might have taken 1-2 days it now takes 3-4 days based on our experience from the 1st January. However we expect this to stabilise at 2-3 days as soon as the new systems settle in.

We are not alone

We are not in this process alone, we have appointed our long-time logistics partner ACE as our Customs Clearance Partner. Ace have experience in this area for over 30 years, and they have implemented several initiatives to ensure that all eventualities were covered including:

  • Increased Customs Clearance experts & facilities by 200%
  • Increased Bonded Warehousing capacity by 200%
  • Increased our Customs Deferred Payment Account by 100%
