Hudevad LST, The Standard in Care

Hudevad LST (Low Surface Temperature) radiators are perfect for use in all public locations, but especially in schools or healthcare environments. Safety and care are of paramount importance and standard radiators may pose a burn risk to vulnerable people who may come into contact with them. Safety requirements DHSSDN4 requires that heating equipment in such situations are covered, so that the maximum accessible surface temperature does not exceed 43 °C.

With so much focus on the testing and reliability of LSTs in the market today, Keane Environmental are delighted to work with Hudevad radiators. Hudevad tests the output of its radiators with the Danish Technological Institute, a notified body with the EU.  As such the Danish Technological Institute is designated by the EU to assess the conformity of their LST products before being placed on the market. The standard for radiators is EN442, and all radiators are tested according to it, and sold with a CE mark in Ireland.

The “tilt open” function makes the units easily accessible for cleaning and maintenance purposes, while it is also lockable to prevent unauthorized tampering or vandalism.

Hudevad regularly tests its LST radiators to ensure that their technical data, most importantly heat output data, is backed by the certification of the Danish Technological Institute.

This means that Keane Environmental and Hudevad are totally confident in these robust, easy to clean, products, so that when a designer is specifying or calculating the output of a Hudevad LST radiator, they can know that the output is correct according to the European standards EN442.
